WORKTOP BUYING GUIDE
STEP 1 - Request A Quote
In order to provide you with an initial quotation we will need the following information:
The preferred material – granite or quartz
The preferred colour (or an idea of which shade you prefer).
The kitchen plan or the individual worktop measurements
The requirements of the kitchen in terms of the cut outs required for the sink and hob.
Are you interested in upstands, window sill and cooker splashback?
You can call us with this information, send it direct to us via email or complete our online quote form.
Providing Your Dimensions / Measurements
As part of a new kitchen
When purchasing a new kitchen, the kitchen provider will usually provide a detailed kitchen plan and this will provide a accurate measurements of the worktops required.
What if I don’t have a kitchen plan?
If you are replacing your existing kitchen worktops, all you need to do is measure the worktops in place and draw out a rough sketch of your layout with the measurements. See our example below
STEP 2 - Placing Your Order
Once you have received the quotation and you are happy to proceed, we will process your order and book a date to template the kitchen and also book a date for the installation of the worktops with your preferred schedule.
You are more than welcome to visit us to see the material in person or we can schedule for you to visit the appropriate stone supplier to confirm your material choice. Alternatively, the surveyor can bring the samples with him on template and the material can be confirmed then.
STEP 3 - Template Service
We will schedule for one of our surveyors to visit and take a complete and accurate template. The template allows us to obtain the millimetre precise measurements for the individual worktops required, this way we can ensure the worktops fit perfectly on installation. The template process can take up to 1-2 hours after-which the surveyor will provide the template to our stonemasons in the factory whereby, the fabrication process will take place. Please note, majority of the fabrication of the worktops takes place in our factory however, small amendments may need to be done onsite. Once, the fabrication process is complete, our fitting team will arrive on site to install the new worktops.
*Please Beware – There are many companies that provide a 'Same Day Installation' however, this consists of fabrication within your new home or garden and this is aN extremely messy and dusty way of working. Also, onsite fabrication is not the same standard as a factory finish and therefore, the final installation will be compromised.
STEP 4 - Installation
The installation date will be arranged to suit your schedule and on this day, our fitting team will install the worktops to your complete satisfaction. On completion, our team will require the installation to be signed off on and any feedback provided is greatly appreciated.
